Lil morning helper

Lil robot boi, my alarm clock concept. The focus of the project was the interaction with the user. Two things are at work here: The intention of giving the object a personality, and how this originated from reinterpreting how we slap our alarm clocks.

As shown, the product carries an orange indication at the top, this indicator is for the user to turn off the alarm when it rings in the morning. The twist comes in its mechanism: It's not a button, just an indicating surface. When that surface is pressed, the whole product moves downwards, the deactivation mechanism is really in the feet, this movement makes it seem as if on is slapping the robot, and the robot reacts.

I tried to create an ambiance with my illustrations. The first one is a more cynical dystopian graphic design, whilst in the second one I was trying to go for a cleaner spacey feel.
